From the minute a dog or cat sets a paw inside a shelter, the clock is ticking on decisions that can  spell health or illness. Learn how decisions made in that first hour impact the stress response and susceptibility to the disease of sheltered animals during this session full of practical tips. Participants will understand how sound intake protocols can promote good health and welfare of sheltered animals and lead to increases in live release with an emphasis on published guidelines for standards of care.
